Been a while....
since I updated this thing....
Turns out our amazing water park was a source of cryptosporidium (or crypto for short) that Zach got first and SO kindly shared with both Chris and I. We're finally about back to normal around here, but boy, it kicked our butts (literally and figuratively) for several days.
Also, we've continued to suffer technical difficulties in spades around here...been weeks and weeks since we've been able to upload pics from the camera - but we're hopeful to have that issue resolved this weekend. So check back. If you want. If you've lost patience, hey, I understand. But you can always check out the new countdown clock in the side margin.... :)

POS man
You know, the POS man...the guy that drives the brown truck and brings things to your door?
That's what Zachary calls him.
POS man.
Let your imagination run with that one if you dare... :)

Some birthday pics (FINALLY!)
Hon
My new name according to Zach.
Hon.
He asked Chris today, "Where's Honey?" and when I came out of the house he said, "Hey Hon..." (he being Zach, NOT Chris)
Life with a three year old is NEVER boring. (at least life with THIS three year old)
Edited to add, Chris just informed me that when Zach was outside looking for me, he was yelling, "Hoooonnnn!......Hoooonnn!"
What a pip that kid is.

RIP
Ok...so the computer re-do thing didn't go so well. As we were recovering the system, when we went to install disk 2 as requested, the computer decided it wasn't the RIGHT disk 2. So, now we have to order some recovery disks from Compaq and then continue what we started...sometime a week from now or so.
Oh yeah, I could use our other computer to post pictures, and there's a chance I will, but not right now. I have a cake to frost and some potato salad to make in preparation for the Zeedle's birthday tomorrow....number 3 already!!!!
So...until we meet again....
...taps playing softly in the background....

Pictures forthcoming....
I've been taking lots lately so as to have plenty for posing here (and enough to warrant Zach's admonishing me more than once, "Stop taking pictures, Mama")...and now my computer is acting up and won't let me upload the pics from the camera. So stick with us...we're troubleshooting the issue tonite--and most likely starting with a fresh install of everything.....

"It be a beautifuw fing"
Zach: "Someday I fweep myself wike Ewwen and Mowwy and it be a beautifuw fing."
Translation: "Someday I will go to sleep by myself like Ellen and Molly and it will be a beautiful thing."
That kid cracks me up! :)

One thing I've noticed...
Is that now that Zach is up and running about 23 hours per day, I don't take NEARLY as many pictures as I did when he was a smiling little blob of baby boy. Just keeping up with him is enough to keep me VERY busy.
But now that the blog is back up and running (yay!), I'll make an attempt to take more shots during our days together.
Now, if I could just get him to sit still for a minute.........

SURPRISE!!
I'm attempting to make a comeback here...we'll see what happens.
Things have been crazy busy in our lives lately--on a whim, we decided to sell our house and bought the first house that we looked at....all within about 10 days. Even tho that was well....two months ago, we're still working on getting settled. Moving with a toddler is an interesting venture--and definitely NOT for the weak. We were lucky enough to sell our old house to the second people who looked at it, even tho the market is getting pretty soft around here. The new house is fabulous and I will post pictures soon.
I finished up my first year as a full-time elementary counselor, and love it even more than the day I started. I'm REALLY looking forward to starting at the same school (for two consecutive years) in the fall. Zach is as busy as ever...talking up a storm (I'll start posting some of the silly things he says in the next day or two--along with pictures since I'm CONFIDENT I can get beyond my difficulties now that I have a little time to figure it out). He loves his "new house" and his new bedroom and is still as obsessed with airplanes as ever. His obsessions have expanded, however, to include fans, fountains and escalators. His daily request is to "Go new Fwed Meyer see if fans pwugged in".
Alright, back to unpacking boxes...more soon. (I know, I know, you've heard it before...but wait and see, I might just surprise you!)

Technical problems...
Ok...so I tried to upload a picture and got some sort of error message... Let me see if I can figure this out...and I'll get back to y'all. Eventually.
Resolutions
So, I'm apparently doing about as well on my resolution to keep this blog updated as I do on the rest of my resolutions (which is why I try to never make any....maybe that will be my resolution for next year)...
I could offer the change of software for loading photos as my excuse, but really that's not valid. It's just that I've been so busy...with so much going on and not enough time for it all. How people with more than one child do it is beyond me. So...let me see if I can rustle up some pictures to post...
Maybe I can do a once a month update. :)

Hello! Happy New Year! Merry Christmas! Happy Kwanzaa! Happy Boxing Day! And whatever other holiday we missed while I was lolly-gagging around...
Well, we are still alive and well...and my oh my, is this child changing... His vocabulary has totally exploded (I think he's hit that stage where he's picking up 10-15 new words per day), he's using sentences (that are grammatically correct, for the most part), he started potty-training himself and then stopped... It's a wild and wooly ride, and we're all having so much fun.
Blogger has changed the way to upload pictures, and I'm not sure what to do now....but I will check it out and get on the ball...my new year's goal is to update at least weekly....so far, I'm off to a rip-roaring start! But that's how I like it...starting out behind the 8-ball....keeps things challenging.
Thanks to all who faithfully continue to check back, despite the ridiculous lack of...well, ANYTHING. Your loyalty (and smart alec comments) are appreciated!!!
Pictures soon!

Ok Ok....
So I've been a total slacker in updating this lately... It's not for lack of material, or even for lack of time (since I'm on break right now)...just lack of motivation. But I really will put some new stuff up...hopefully before the end of the year.
Bear with me!
Please?
Bear with me!
Please?

So silly...
I've discovered that life with a two-year old is NEVER boring. Take these stories for example:
- While at Grams', when Zach and Alec (aka Popeye) were jumping on the bed, they had to take off their shirts so that they could see their belly buttons.
- Yesterday, Grams heard a strange sound coming from the living room, and when she looked, Zachary was licking the cat. Yes, LICKING THE CAT. The strange sound was him "puh-puh-ing" to get the fur off his tongue. When I asked him, "Did you lick Baby Bear?" his reply was an enthusiastic, "YEAH!"
- "No mama" is his newest favorite phrase. I have been prohibited from dancing, singing, commenting on Little Einsteins or any other show, and touching his airplanes or any other toy.... Hmmmm...I thought the parent-embarrassment factor didn't kick in until 12-13.
